The City Big Brother mentorship project also returns for its 3rd season, pairing LCLC professionals and friends with ambitious students from the UK, Lithuania and beyond. This year, the project even has a US offspring, spearheaded by a former participant (“Small Sister”) of the UK City Big Brother project – clearly showing how it can bear fruit. Other successes of Season 2 include lucky internship recipients, admits at top grad schools and a number of those more prepared to enter a challenging job market or continue in academia. A get together of Small Brothers and Big Brothers in a Central London pub for casual networking and exchange of ideas was certainly another highlight of the 2010 project.
The 2011 project has grown bigger than ever, attracting record interest from applicants and Big Brothers alike, on both sides of the Atlantic. The organising team is thus keeping itself busy. Rytis Vitkauskas, Petras Vaičius and Indre Dargytė were this year joined by Andrius Šlekys, who was also a Small Brother in the project in 2010.
