LCLC elected their president for a second term
January 14, 2017

The annual general meeting of the Lithuanian City of London Club (LCLC) took place on the 11th of January 2017, with its members electing the club’s current president Marius Raugalas for a second term.

During the evening Marius reviewed the past year which was exceptional for the club – the organisation celebrated its 10 year annivesary and received a special recognition for its contributions to Lithuania from the hands of H.E. President Dalia Grybauskaitė during the “Global Lithuanian Awards 2016” ceremony.

Marius Raugalas, who works in London as a product management specialist in retail banking, was delighted with the organisation’s achievements in 2016 and thanked the club’s board, former presidents and other LCLC members for their help and support.

“We continued the club’s traditional initiatives such as LT Big Brother mentoring project and charity initiatives with our strategic partner, Caritas of Vilnius archdiocese; we became the first organisation that represents business professionals to become an official supporter of LBGT festival “Baltic Pride 2016”; and we organised our anniversary gala dinner which brought together Lithuanian professionals and other honourable guests from around the world.”

The club’s president presented his priorities for the next year and was elected for a second term, while noting that the special award received in 2016 is both a huge honour and responsibility, which obliges to continue acting as an example for all other Lithuanian professional communities globally. Marius promised to continue LCLC’s cooperation with other organisations in the United Kingdom and Lithuania, and to participate more actively in relevant professional and social initiatives such as the upcoming Centenary of the Restoration of Lithuania’s Independence.
