LCLC received a special award for its contributions to Lithuania
The “Global Lithuanian Awards 2016” ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius, Lithuania, on the 28th of December 2016. For the fifth year in a row, the event honoured global business, culture and science professionals for notable efforts to create global opportunities and successful initiatives for Lithuania.This year there were 37 nominations from 14 countries, and winners from 10 categories were announced by the President of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaite. The event was also attended by President Valdas Adamkus and Prime Minister of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis.
Lithuanian City of London Club (LCLC) received a special award for its contributions to Lithuania over the last decade since the inception of the club in 2006. LCLC was honoured by H.E. President Dalia Grybauskaite for its contributions in sharing ideas, mentoring young professionals and engaging on charitable activities in Lithuania. Darius Daubaras, one of LCLC’s founders and former presidents, said he was honored to receive the award on behalf of the club, and hoped that it will inspire its members to continue setting a positive example for all other Lithuanian professional clubs around the world.
The “Global Lithuanian awards” are organised by “Global Lithuanian Leaders”, a non-profit platform of Lithuania that connects international professionals to build global opportunities for Lithuanian economy.
