Our traditional annual ski trip in mid-January marked the opening of the year for social events. Through one of the LCLC members the trip was joined by skiing enthusiasts from Citi. The total number of 23 travellers spent a fun weekend in Mayrhofen, Austria.
Late arrival to the resort on Thursday night did not stop us from a quick social get-together where we reviewed weather conditions and the ski plan for the next day.
On Friday, Viktorija and Vilma arranged their traditional charity ski lessons for the beginners and intermediates. Our LCLC ski instructors not only helped everyone to warm up and improve, but also collected contributions to our charity budget from the generous students. The end of the day was marked by an excellent Austrian dinner and dancing into the early hours.
Saturday brought lots of powder and we hit the slopes wearing outfits we got in our funky item lottery at the breakfast table. There were ladies with moustaches, godesses and cheerleaders, Gandalf and a chef, dancers and kings. We put smiles on many faces that day.
After another enjoyable day of skiing on Sunday we headed back to Munich to catch London-bound flights. We all made a few new friends and had a fantastic time that will be hard to forget.
